The human capacity to exert self-control is arguably one of the most powerful and beneficial adaptations of the human psyche。 (Rothbaum, Weisz, & Snyder, 1982)。 People with higher self-control are more likely to achieve more outcomes both in school and work。 Among the students' autonomous learning, self-control plays a vital role。 By the progress of the internationalization, the importance of English as an international language can not be ignored。 English is a high valued subject which account for 150 points in college entrance examination。 As a linguistic subject, English requires a certain amount of recitation, reading, understanding and usage if we want to have a great master of it, self-control appears to be very important in language learning, so I take English as my experimental subjects。 So helping students to improve their English grade with effective self-control strategies can be very meaningful。
