Firstly, teachers in junior middles school often teach vocabulary separately without any connections。 English vocabulary is not separately and should related to pronunciation, grammar, sentence and text。 English vocabulary should also be reflected in the learning aspects including listening, speaking, reading and writing。 Comprehensive teaching method should play an important role in vocabulary teaching。 However, many teachers insist the same teaching mode for years which is pronouncing the words first, then explaining the structure and grammar。 The next step is citing some examples to illustrate the usage of words。 The last step is making students do some exercises。 This kind of teaching method occupies most time in English classes and seems to explain the dictionary once more。 It is proved that students feel tired and boring when teachers use this kind of teaching method and students can’t memorize and absorb words meaning in the process of learning。 文献综述

Secondly, there is a lack of memorizing part。 It is impossible for students without memorizing abundant words。 Methods and skills of memorizing are needed to remember English words besides hard working。 In practical teaching, less teachers tell students effective methods and skills of memorizing words。 Most students spend more time in memorizing word and can’t have effective results。 The difficulty of vocabulary formation leads to the forming ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing。 Those results will lead to the failure of communication。 Some teachers like to cut corners and they prefer copy awarded content in actual teaching of lexical polysemy words are on table。 Some teachers even are the “dictionary of expert”, making students learn the content which is all copied down and rote learning after class。 For example, the word dark, teachers only awarded to students it shows: noun meaning: darkness, ignorance; Adjective meaning : a dark, dark, mysterious, in which way students are unknown about the practical meaning。 This kind of teaching method of the single word hard granted makes students feel the word study is boring, no fun, natural and repulsive。 Teachers use this kind of teaching way which makes students are tired of learning when they are faced with difficulties and resist teachers awarded course。 As a result, their goals and the performance will decline in the study because of teaching way and learning attitude is not correct and conformity。

Thirdly, many teachers get rid of the cultural background in the process of teaching English vocabulary。 Language and culture can’t be separated。 To master a nation’s language, we should get knowledge of the culture and history of a country。 But the fact is, teachers teach less culture knowledge and students can’t understand totally which leads to the mistakes by students in the process of English teaching and learning。
