1.3 The organization of the thesis
This thesis tended to analyze “Cat in the Rain” from two main perspectives: ecological consciousness and female sensibility. This thesis was pided into five parts. The first one was the introduction, which illustrated the current study and the organization of this thesis. The second chapter gave an explanation of the social background of “Cat in the Rain” and the connection of women and nature. And the third part explored female sensibility. And the relationship between the woman and her husband, the woman and the landlord, which revealed women, was restricted in the male-centralism society. The forth part analyzed the effect of the cat in the rain. Beside this, it focused on the image of cat and the description of the environment, which demonstrated the conflict between wildcat and the domestic cat, nature and civilization. And the last chapter concluded the discussions of the findings.
