Abstract Britain is not only the birthplace of modern football, but also has a long history of football fan culture. The paper analyzes the classification of British fans, their support and loyalty towards the team, geographical features of the fans, football violence and racial discrimination and other football fan cultural phenomena in Britain to show the variety of English football fan culture and to promote the Chinese football fan cultural study by providing a theoretical reference.52618
This paper is pided into five parts. The first part is the introduction. The second part briefly describes the origins of British fan culture, the classification of British fans and the development of modern football fan culture in the UK. The third part analyzes the main features of the British football fan culture. The fourth part explores the dark sides of British culture fans. The last part is the end.

摘要英国不仅是现代足球的发源地,而且其足球球迷文化也历史悠久。文章对英国球迷的分类、球迷对球队的支持和忠诚、球迷的地域特征、足球暴力和种族歧视等足球球迷文化现象进行分析,展现了英国丰富多彩的足球球迷文化,同时力求为中国足球球迷文化研究提供理论参考。
本篇论文共分为五部分。第一部分是介绍。第二部分简要阐述英国球迷文化的起源、英国球迷的分类和现代球迷文化在英国的发展。第三部分主要关于英国球迷文化的特征分析。第四部分深入分析英国球迷文化的黑暗面。第五部分是结尾。

1 Introduction
Football, with its extraordinary charm, is popular in the world. It is not just a game, but a kind of sports which has profound cultural roots. When people talk about football, it is inevitable for them to consider the ancestor of the modern football—Britain. Britain as the birthplace of modern football, is also known as a powerful football country. In many people’s opinion, the very first thing they know about Britain is that Englishmen are famous for being gentlemen. However, there is also no doubt that British football fans are the most passionate ones all over the world, and they let people absorb in the enjoyment or stimulation that football is able to give. Statistically, more than 30,000 amateurish football clubs are in England, and the members of these clubs could be around 3,000,000 people. The long history of its fan culture is pretty equal to the one of the birth of modern football in Britain. Football fans in the United Kingdom play an important role in the development of British football. British football fan culture has gone beyond the scope of traditional sports, and it has evolved into a rich and colorful one.
