摘要影视片名的翻译作为影片翻译中的一个重要的部分,对整部影片起到化龙点睛的作用。在影视片名翻译领域,理论研究相对较为匮乏,目前的研究结果大都是直译、意译、音译和扩译等,很少有学者将跨文化语境下的相关理论与影视片名翻译结合进行探讨。为了弥补跨文化语境下由于认知图式差异所造成的影视片名翻译的偏差,本文将认知图式理论与影视片名翻译相结合,考察在该理论关照下影视片名翻译的具体方法,并得出了影视片名翻译可以在分析原片名的语言图式、文体图式、内容图式和文化图式的基础上,结合直译、意译、直译加注释等方法对片名进行翻译。9030

Title On Translation Strategies of Film Titles from the Perspective of Cognitive Schemata Theory
Abstract
As an important part in film translation, the translation of film titles plays an essential role. In the field of film title translation, theoretical research is relatively scarce. There are few scholars combining relatives theories in the context of cross-cultural communication and film title translation together, and most of the current studies are literal translation, transliteration, and expansion of translating. In order to compensate for the deviation of the film title translation in the context of cross-cultural communication, the paper adopts cognitive schemata theory in film title translation for the purpose of working out specific methods for film title translation. The conclusion is that the translator can analyze the original title’s language schema, text schema, content schema and culture schema, as well as combining the principles of literal translation, free translation and literal translation with a note before deciding the film’s name.

1. Introduction
1.1 Research Question
Since China’s accession to the WTO, sino foreign cultural exchanges gradually develop. In recent decades, a large number of foreign films were introduced into China. Many of them are favored by Chinese's audiences. At the same time, Chinese films have been exported to foreign countries. Therefore, the translation of films becomes more and more popular. A movie’s tile is its eyes; it conveys the entire film aesthetic image and plays an essential role in attracting target audiences. From the perspective of films, cross culture communication starts from titles of films. If a film has a good title, people would rush to it; otherwise, people would never notice. In consideration of the importance of the titles, much attention should be paid to film title translation. However, even if the film titles and translation issues are frequently discussed in the film translation, there still exist unsolved questions. Few scholars have combined the context of cross-cultural theory and film title translation together to research, and most of the current studies fall into the scope of literal translation, transliteration, and expansion of translating. This paper tries to apply the cognitive schemata theory to the field of film translation. In fact, schemata theory abroad has been gradually developed into a mature theory since the 1980s, and has raised wild concern in the fields of philosophy, psychology, cognitive science, foreign language teaching and so on. In addition to the introduction and presentation of theory, Chinese scholars have gradually apply it to reading and translation fields and then expand to philosophy, psychology, cognitive science and foreign language teaching fields, but not in film title translation. Therefore, it is meaningful to apply the cognitive schemata theory to the field of film translation. By doing so, this paper endeavors to put forward some translation methods in the fields of film title translation.
