China is a country with a long history, and also has many admirable literature works which may reveal the culture of the country and let foreigners know more about the country。 Therefore, translation activity of these works is very important。 The activity has experienced cultural and linguistic turn and has developed other disciplines。 Now, it would face a new turn-ecological turn。
Professor Hu Gengshen came up with the new theory of Eco-translatology, which emphasized translator-centeredness。 In recent years, more and more professional scholars are concerned about this theory。 As a new translational theory, justifying its practical applications and feasibility is very important。 Therefore, This thesis will make a full analysis of the English version of the book Life And Death Are Wearing Me Out translated by Howard Goldblatt and try to explain the practical acceptance and application of the theory。文献综述
2。 Literature Review
As a new theory of translation, eco-translatology starts in 2001 and then has an integrated development in 2009。 Eco-translatology is an integrated discipline combined ecology and translation。 The connotation it contains reflects the theory requirements of the ecology and is also the presence of the translation in a new period。 It receives extensive concerns after the emergence of eco-translatology。 Its theoretical and practical value has a long-term development。 All in all, eco-translatology provides a new theoretical perceptive on the development of translation。
2。1 Theoretical Foundations of Eco-translatology
2。1。1 Definition of Eco-translatology
Eco-translatology is a new translation theory proposed by domestic scholar Hu Gengshen。 As an ecological way or an ecological perceptive to translation research, it includes at least two subjects—ecology and translatology。 So Eco-translatology belongs to an interdisciplinary research and makes new descriptions and explanations to the essence and process of translation, which provides new methods of translation and new principles of translation for translators (Song and Yu 126)。 Translation is a kind of cyclic process of translator‘s continually adaptation to the translational eco-environment and optimization selection。 When translating, translators should begin from linguistic, cultural and communicative dimension to make the translated version reach multi-dimensional transformation。 Translation principle is considered as multi-dimensional adaptation and adaptive selection (Hu 2)。
Eco-translatology is an ecological approach to translation researches or translation studies from an ecological view (Hu 12)。 Ecological translation describes the relationship between the translator and the translational eco-environment and focuses on the living circumstances and translation ability of translator。 From the point view of concept definition, eco-translatology focuses on the keywords such as “ecology”, “the ecological environment” and so on。 It tries to introduce new interdisciplinary approaches to study translation。 From a content point of view, ecological translation advocates the translator as the center and makes a new description and explanation of translation activities in the perspective of the translator based on the ecology construction of translation theory and the overall translation environment within the ecosystem。 From the angle of grammar, translation is the key word in “eco-translatology”。 Ecology is a modifier, which can be understood as to explore the translation phenomena from the perspective of ecology and belongs to the category of translation like linguistic translatology, cultural translation studies, cognitive translation and social translation。 So we can say the ecological translation is a new direction in translation studies。来*自-优=尔,论:文+网www.youerw.com
