As for students in junior high school, there are also so many affective problems。 Junior high school is a period when students step into adolescence, and in this period, students may get bored of study and be unwilling to study。 And it’s also a period which the gap between good students and poor students becomes bigger。 And this phenomenon will easily lead students who can’t learn English so well lose their confidence and become negative。 If a student loses the confidence of study and become negative, he will also lose the interest of study and can’t learn it well anymore。 So the teacher should pay attention to the phenomenon carefully and do the affective teaching。 There is also a common condition that many students don’t like English, I have investigated some students, and reasons may be the boring textbook, strict teachers and sleepy class atmosphere。 And the teacher always keep the distance with students, they seldom have a heart-to-heart communication with them。 When students make mistakes or fail in the exam, the teacher may use the wrong way to punish them, but less considering the affective factors。 So the affective teaching is rather important in English teaching。
Finally among teachers, actually, most of them have realized the importance of affective teaching。 However, there is a gap between the awareness and reality。 They do know how important affective teaching is, but they don’t know how to put it to the actual teaching。 They know what it is, but do not know how to do indeed。 Therefore, it has the practical meaning of talking about the concrete strategies of affective teaching and the significance of them, which can give a pragmatic guidance to English teachers and promote the English class。
1。2 The purpose of the research
Through this thesis, I want to talk about the significance of affective teaching, and study the concrete strategies of it。 I aim to arouse the attention of English teachers to affective teaching。 Make them know that affective teaching is a crucially important and practical way in English teaching and provide them with some available strategies to use in English teaching, especially in junior high school。 Do researches and experiments about different concrete strategies of English teaching, and study the results of them。
In this research, I will focus on solving following questions。 First, what the affective teaching is。 Talk about the definition and background of affective teaching, and research the current educational condition in junior high school and the circumstance of affective teaching in current English education。 Second, what the significance of affective teaching in English teaching in junior high school is。 Make known the theoretical significance and realistic need of affective teaching in current education。 Emphasize the importance of affective teaching, and make more teachers involved in this available teaching method。 Then, what kind of concrete strategies of affective teaching can I list and do researches。 To think about more concrete and available affective teaching methods and do experiments about them。 After knowing what the strategies are, I am supposed to study how to apply them in actual English teaching condition in junior high school effectively。 Finally record the results and do a research about the effects of the concrete strategies of English teaching in junior school。 The actual effects of affective teaching in English teaching can also contribute to the wide application of affective teaching。 Make the concrete strategies of affective teaching be easier to teachers to use in their actual English class, which means making the abstract affective teaching become concrete and useable for English teaching。

1。 What is the actual condition of affective teaching and its strategies’ research in English teaching in junior high school?
2。 What are the concrete strategies in my study? How to apply them in English teaching in junior high school?
