I。 Introduction
Recent years, China plays a more and more important role in the world。 With the rapid development of China’s economy and the continuous progress of society, our communications with other nations become more and more frequent, so our nation needs a large number of people who are good at foreign language。 However, recent years the society needs those people who have comprehensive ability。 The kind of people who can only write English, especially they can know and use a lot of vocabularies very well, but they can’t say something in English accurately, they can’t also make a perfect conversation with others。 So it’s very difficult to find their ideal position in today’s English field。 On many aspects, people began to adjust, they start from the students’ oral English learning basis, also pay more attention to the development of middle school students’ English speaking。 The teacher who can have their responsibility becomes more and more important。 Teachers began to consider on many aspects, when they face with different students to use different training methods, and try their best to teach every student English skills step by step, so that the students can have a great English base when they begin to work in future。 With English becomes more and more important, the ways on English teaching and learning are explored。 English as a language tool to work, more and more people pay attention to it。 So many teaching methods of oral English is discussed in classroom and extracurricular activities, include the background and influence of the traditional English, how to improve middle school students’ English oral speaking, what students should do, what teachers should do a lot of oral activities in class and after class。文献综述
II。 The Elements of Middle School Student’s Oral English Ability
2。1 The Influence of the Traditional Teaching Environment
In traditional English teaching environment, teaching activities only lies in teaching materials, teachers and the class, the teachers use the traditional ways to teach English。 The traditional teaching ways ignore the relationship between teacher and student, and ignore that the teacher and the student should rely on each other, too。 In the traditional teaching activities, English teachers don’t need to think about other things that can’t be used in teaching。 So that they focus on teaching, and this way makes the students only be instilled, they have no idea and they are just like the machines。 At this time, they are not provided oral practice of real context, and lose the learning motivation, thus affects the improvement of students’ English speaking ability。
For many years, English teaching has been focusing on grammar, reading and vocabulary teaching, but oral English is often ignored。 But now English is used more and more in life and oral English ability gets more and more important。 How to improve oral English teaching to develop students’ communication ability is the key to achieve the middle school English teaching goal (Wang 86-87)。
2。2 English Teachers’ Qualities
2。2。1 A Good Specialty Knowledge
For each English teacher, they should be professional and have essential qualities, and it is particularly important for English teachers。 Therefore, English teachers must pronounce clearly and accurately with natural and smooth tone。 At the same time, English teachers should understand and master the English pronunciation and meaning correctly。 Teacher’s oral English ability should be enhanced and direct middle school students to speak English, in this way, the students can increase their learning interests。
