Abstract Explicit teaching and implicit teaching are prevailing among many methods of grammar instruction, which gained more attention and researched by more people。 Explicit grammar teaching is that teachers directly teach grammar rules, students taking notes and doing exercises to master grammar。 While implicit grammar teaching refers to creating a meaningful language environment, and teachers let the students read in their context。 The rules of the language found and summarized by students themselves。 However, the single use of explicit or implicit grammar teaching can not meet the requirements of student learning。 Based on this situation, this paper uses Krashen’s acquisition learning hypothesis and Schmidt’s“Noticing Hypothesis” theory as the foundation, conducting the research to the present English grammar teaching in senior high school problems。 At present, two kinds of tendency exist in the high school grammar teaching。 One is that a teacher centered examination, paying attention to teaching grammar rules, ignoring student’s overall language ability; the other that teachers abandon traditional grammar teaching, and focus on the communicative function of language。 This paper advocates the combination of explicit grammar teaching and implicit grammar teaching method to achieve a better effect, but also to help students to master grammar knowledge more easily。76028
