Title THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RURAL FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND FARMERS’ INCOME GROWTH
Abstract
Three Rural Issues has been one of the focuses of the people’s livelihood project in China:and the core of Three Rural Issues is farmers' income problem. In recent years,researches on the relationship between rural financial development and farmers' income growth based on China or a certain province do not lack,however,the comparative study from the aspect of eastern, central and western regions is quite rare.This article selects JiangSu, HeNan and ShanXi province as the representative of China's eastern, central and western regions respectively,and then we use the statistical data of three provinces for empirical analysis.The results show that the relationship between rural financial development and farmers' income growth presents different characteristics in the three provinces.In addition, the empirical results also show that the relationship between rural financial and farmers' income tends to be indirect ,and it means that in various areas of our country,rural financial institutions are playing the part of subordinate position in the process of rural economic development.
