Viewing the Phennomena of Cyber-violence from Yao Jiaxin’s Case
Abstract: In recent years, the rising cyber-violence has aroused wide public concern. Up to this day, cyber-violence has become a problem the world will need to solve. This text will scope the definition of cyber-violence from a point on Yao Jiaxin’s case and afterwards give a brief overview of that case. This text will also analyze the negative impact of Yao’s case, such as the infringement, impairing judicial independence and disturbing network order, and then analyze the reasons of cyber-violence, such as the lag of Internet regulations, the absence of media supervision and Chinese netizens’ own characteristics. At last, this text will recommend appropriate solutions, for instance, reinforcing education for netizens, speeding up legislation process, enhancing media function, establishing the open information system and broadening voice channels for people,etc.
