Abstract Language is a very important part of culture。 As a special part in the vocabulary, color words have many cultural connotations which other types of words can not match。 Due to differences in culture, history and natural environments, color words have many differences in the cultural aspects such as color preference, social values, custom and so on。 English color words can be used in various parts of speech and can be expressed in different ways。 Chinese color words can also be expressed in various ways, and the main characteristic of Chinese color words is to display colors by means of real things。 Therefore, it is of great significance to pay attention to the cultural connotations of color words。94669

This article mainly focuses on the cultural connotations of the Chinese and English color words and some methods of translation。 By comparing the analysis, we can explore the reasons of the differences of Chinese and English color words so that we push forward the development of Chinese and English。 Therefore, the analysis is very helpful to increase cultural adaptation and communicate more effectively。

摘要语言组成了文化的重要的一部分。作为词汇中一个特殊的部分，色彩词不仅能表示物体的颜色,还包含其他不能企及的丰富的文化内涵。由于英语与汉语在文化、历史和地理等方面的不同,色彩词反映了民族的颜色取向、社会价值、风俗习惯等文化特点。英语色彩词风格灵活多样,而汉语颜色词的构词同样多变，主要表现在借助其他的物体表现颜色。因此我们对英汉颜色词的文化内涵进行对比研究具有非常重要的意义。

本文主要是对英汉基本色彩词内涵差异的对比分析以及翻译方法的研究。通过对比分析,探究英语与汉语色彩词差异形成的原因,从而促进两种语言的共同发展。因此,这种分析有助于达到有效交际提高文化适应性。

In our daily life, color words are very common in language use and they are also the symbol of cultural differences。 As a visual phenomenon, color is launched and also reflected through certain light wave by the object。 In Chinese, there are “赤橙黄绿青蓝紫”, and in English there are red, yellow, blue and purple, black and white。 Color words in the language of one country are different from any other language in the world。

Color words have a very long history, which have a large and long-term change。 On the one hand, color words can directly show the real color。 On the other hand, color words can indicate many factors about culture of any country in the world。 Furthermore, each culture can reflect the history, national psychology and aesthetic taste of its country。 Thus, it is necessary to study color words because we can find the process of reflecting cultural differences between English and Chinese。
