    In recent years, with the expansion of the communication between Chinese and western culture and deepen academic understanding of importance of vocabulary teaching strategies, an increasing number of scholars and foreign language teachers have gradually known the necessity of vocabulary teaching strategies. However, the present research is mainly focused on vocabulary teaching strategies and culture-bound theoretical level. Systematic and thorough research is still needed in the terms of how to adopt effective strategies in vocabulary teaching practice.
        Vocabulary teaching is an indispensable part of foreign language teaching. It is directly related to the English teaching efficiency and the English level of students. Now, most of the research efforts are directed mainly at university English vocabulary teaching and few researchers have focused on English vocabulary teaching in primary schools. Based on this, this paper by analyzing some problems that exist in the current primary school English vocabulary teaching, explores how to increase the effectiveness of vocabulary teaching, so as to provide a further reference to primary school English vocabulary teaching.
        The paper can be pided into five parts. Chapter one gives a brief introduction about the topic. Chapter two mainly talks about the studies on vocabulary teaching strategies both at home and abroad. Chapter three provides the relative theoretical foundation of the paper. Chapter four mainly talks about the effective teaching strategy of English vocabulary in the primary school. Chapter five is the conclusion of the paper.

    II. Literature Review

    2.1 Studies on Vocabulary Teaching Strategies at Home
        Scholars have studied the teaching strategies of English vocabulary in the Primary school from different points of view. The major research direction can be pided into three parts: the knowledge of English vocabulary; the learners’ level of vocabulary and new English curriculum standard.
