Abstract As one of the greatest English female novelists whose works mainly focus on romantic stories, Jane Austen earns her place as one of the most widely read writers in English Literature. 43382
Pride and Prejudice, as one of the most influential novels of Jane Austen, has been the research subject of many scholars. This article focuses on the image of ideal man reflected in this book from the perspective of Cinderella Complex. By the description of Darcy and the comparisons among various male images, Jane Austen described the image of an ideal man in her opinion in Pride and Prejudice. The ideology of love and marriage between Elizabeth and Darcy are the expressions of the Cinderella Complex of Jane Austen.
Combing Elizabeth’s family, love, marriage with the life experience of Jane Austen, the article illustrates how the Cinderella Complex was reflected and formed in this novel. Also, this thesis explains the results and effects of the Cinderella Complex and indicates woman’s financial and social status in the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century.

作为简·奥斯汀最有影响力的小说之一,《傲慢与偏见》一直是很多学者研究的经典作品。本文从灰姑娘情结的角度出发分析小说中刻画和反映的理想男性形象。简·奥斯汀通过对小说中的男主人公达西的人物形象的描写和其他男性角色的对比刻画出了心目中的理性男性应该具备怎样的特质^优尔`文~论!文'网www.youerw.com。小说中女主人公伊丽莎白与达西理想化的爱情与婚姻就体现了简·奥斯汀的“灰姑娘情结”。
本文结合小说中女主人公伊丽莎白的家庭、婚姻、爱情故事,奥斯汀的生平经历,阐述在《傲慢与偏见》中对理性男性形象刻画中体现出的灰姑娘情结,分析了灰姑娘情结产生的原因、结果和影响,以及18世纪末19世纪初期女性的经济、社会地位。
