I. Introduction
As more and more international communications on academic fields, business, international conferences, there is an increasing need for interpretation, which leads to an interesting and significant study on the qualities of interpreters. Consecutive interpreting and simultaneous interpretation are two kinds of interpreting. Interpreting quality is a multifaceted and complex concept, therefore it is affected by a variety of communication situations and interpreting types, including conference, community, court, and signed language interpreting. It also comprises the views, motivations, and goals of the interpreters and all other stakeholders—speakers, event organizers, public institutions, trainers, and so on.
Interpreters convert spoken or sign language statements from one language to another. Interpreting involves listening, understanding and memorizing content in the original 'source' language, then reproducing statements, questions and speeches in a different 'target' language. This is often worked in only one direction, and it is generally in the interpreter's native language, sometimes it may be involved on a two-way basis.
As a modern profession, interpreting has established its position in the international communities. Interpreters help people to overcome the language barrier, they also work as a bridge for intercultural communication. However, in order to finishing all these tasks, an interpreter should develop professional talents and skills. Nowadays interpreting has become one of the hot spot occupation that received more attention. Furthermore, based on the analysis of interpreting process and all aspects of the teaching of it, the domestic and foreign experts are generally convinced that it is the prime task and ultimate objective of teaching interpretation to train abilities and skills. Liu (1999) states that the sooner one gets aware of the significance of the interpretative skills, the sooner he/she will do well in interpretation. 源`自*优尔?文.论/文`网[www.youerw.com
