4. Metaphorical expression of multimodal warnings 

In various media of metaphorical meanings, film occupies a major position. Although this essay only selects a video timed for five minutes, we might as well regard it as a micro film. Film, as a form of art, with the wide application of multimodal metaphor, has caught attention of many scholars. Wang Zhen and Sun Peng (2007:36-39) mentioned that “metaphors have been widely used in the themes, images, and language of western movies”, which has provided a good example for us to study metaphor better. Cao Haiyan (2010:120-121) pointed out when analyzing the metaphorical significance of the movie "chocolat", that “metaphors have widened the space of our imagination”.
