This paper makes comparative study to the two Chinese versions with the original book from the point view of eco-translatology, which covers ecological translation environment, the relevance chain, and selection and adaptation。 Although many scholars or translators have studies the different kinds of At the moment, a minority of scholars apply ecological translation theory into the two versions of Tess of the D'Urbervilles study。 Therefore, studying this two versions with the theory of Eco-Translatology has a lasting significance。 “ There are many wonderful and reasonable aspects in western translation theories which are new theories or new theoretical results in this era。But due to time and space, geography, culture, the limitation of vision, they have their own deficiencies or they can not be applicable as a whole。” (Hu 104) Therefore, when constructing and interpreting the theory of Eco-Translatology, we always pay attention to absorption and sublation, integration and transcendence, heritage and development。 “Eco-Translatology is related to these schools of these influential Western schools, namely the principle of dynamic equivalence, the Skopos school, and Descriptive Translation Studies。 Eco-Translatology is in keeping with, and is superior for explaining, and translation practices even in the West。”(Dollerup 34)。 In short, under the background of the era of globalization, when we reflect on translation theories, further research and development of ecological translation will help develop translation studies towards a more rational and more scientific way。 Eco-translation has given a broader horizon for translation studies,as a result, we can have more objectives, more methods, more plans, and more ideas or evaluations with respect to translators activities and translation itself。 来*自-优=尔,论:文+网www.youerw.com
2。 Literature Review
Eco-Translatology contains two aspects at least。 The two disciplines, one is translation ,which looks the conversion of language and information as the main task, so as to promote cross-cultural communication, generally belongs to the humanities。 Another is ecology, which is based on the environment surrounding human and tries to build the whole, balanced, dynamic and harmonious environment, and it belongs to natural science on the whole。 Eco-translatology combines the two disciplines, and it uses the characteristics of the ecological rationality to study translation from the angle of ecology。 This research pattern is formed under the background of global upsurge of ecological theory, and is based on ecological holism。 It follows eastern wisdom, regarding several points as its research objects such as translation ecology, ecological text, translation community, ecology and their mutual relations, making a comprehensive survey and description with the narrative way of ecological translation from the ecological perspective。
