Throughout the study of domestic and foreign scholars, the writer found that there are several types of situational teaching research。 First, they emphasize the situation that cause students thinking according to the existing experience。 Second paying attention to the educational function of natural situation is also a tendency。 While for the study of foreign language situational teaching, there is more emphasis on the way to create situation, such as the use of multimedia, pictures, material object and games in the situation-based teaching。 All these are references to the study of situational English teaching in primary school。
As can be seen, situational teaching has a long history in modern or ancient times。 From the beginning of the education of mankind, situational teaching has already come into being。 Educators in different periods have different awareness and implementation of situational teaching which is gradually improving in general。 With the new curriculum reform carried out in our country in 2001, the comprehensive development and quality education are required to implement。 And the application of situational teaching is becoming more and more popular in various disciplines。 Nevertheless, there are still many problems emerged in the process of situation-based teaching。 Though, in contemporary society, the science and technology is developing rapidly, we still more need to promptly update the concept and technology of teaching in situation-based teaching。 Based on the above understanding, in view of the present situation of the situation-based teaching method in primary school English teaching, this research aims to carry forward the good parts。 While to the bad parts, it goes to put forward countermeasure according to the related theory。
