1。 Introduction
English is now becoming more and more popular and useful around the whole world。 There are more and more people learning English as a second language。 When we are learning English, syntax is the part to which we should pay most attention in grammar learning。 As the ones who use Chinese as the first language, there are many problems for us when we are learning English because Chinese differs a lot from English。 “Chinese and English are totally two different languages, they differ form each other in time, places and culture, and so on。 That’s why the patterns of these two languages are obviously different, including words, expressions, syntax and passages, etc。 And syntax is an important part which we should not ignore。”(Wang and Cao, p1-3)。文献综述
Chinese students can always find it hard to learn English grammar when they are facing English due to the language pattern of Chinese we use as our mother tongue。 Many students give themselves up in English learning just because of the problems they meet in grammar learning。 In this case, syntactic meaning causes the most of the problems。 If one can not read and understand what a sentence tells, it can be really hard for him to get the point of the content and continue reading。 Chinese pattern has deeply rooted inside our mind, so it is not strange that students would study English in our traditional language pattern。 And that’s why many mistakes made by the English learners of China are called “Chinglish”。 Many researchers and experts are still working on this problem for better learning by combining with the education system of our country。 Basing on the researches and findings already made by researchers and experts, this thesis will show a research about the different syntactic meaning of Chinese and English and find the commons and main differences of these two languages。 After getting a result from the contrast and findings, we will focus back on the modern English learning on the perspective of English teachers。 English learning should lead us to a better using of this language。 So for English teachers, they should get to know well about English itself through comparing the syntactic meaning with Chinese and then find some better ways for English grammar teaching。 Finally, this thesis will show the details about the future English teaching。
