1。1 Research background

Today, along with the rapid development of knowledge economy, English teaching gradually presents the trend of younger age。 Although the state stipulates primary school students begin to learn English from grade three, schools in some cities offer English classes in the first grade。 In order to cultivate children’s interest, some parents let their children begin to contact with English in the early childhood。 Studies have indicated that there is a critical period in language learning。 Therefore, in the primary school period, the main goal of English teaching is to cultivate students’论文网 sensitivity to the English listening and speaking ability, and stimulate the students’ interest in learning the second language。 The “compulsory education English curriculum standard” (2011 Edition) promulgated by the Ministry of education of China clearly puts forward the target and requirements of English songs in primary school:Level one (Grade 3 to 4) children can learn to sing English songs and ballads about 15 , and perform simple English songs or pantomime; Level two (Grade 5-6) children can learn to sing simple English songs and ballads about 30 (including level one requirements)。 In the elementary school stage, the English course is for all the students。 We should pay attention to the development of children’s personality and students’ quality education。 Teachers should respect their inpidual differences, and make students express themselves, so as to promotes the comprehensive and harmonious development of children’s body and intelligence。 Teachers should constantly develop and enrich the curriculum resources, and hope it can play a fundamental role in the comprehensive development of the students。

In China, the study of language acquisition by music is receiving more and more attention。

Listening to music can promote the input, internalization and acquisition of languages。 Singing can not only improve the students’ comprehension of music, but also increase the sense of rhythm and learn pronunciation。 It also enhances the influence of language and culture, and stimulates motivation in learning English。(Hu rong, 1998)
