Abstract In today’s society, English is an important tool of opening to outside world and contact with various countries, which becomes more and more palatable。 With the popularity of 2001 English course in national urban and rural primary schools, the status of English is becoming more and more important。 How to guide students study English scientifically and reasonably。 It requires us to research and learn English teaching method in primary school。 According to the characteristics of the students and teaching contents, we should adopt appropriate teaching method。 Thereby, we can easily motivate students’ interests in learning and obtain the good teaching effect。 Situational Teaching Method is a typical teaching method。 It plays an important role in the primary school’s English teaching。 This article elaborates the origin and development of Situational Teaching Method and states the definition and theoretical bases, which enables us to know Situational Teaching Method in the further。 Every coin has two sides。 Based on the analysis of the pros and cons, this article provides the solutions for us to know how to use Situational Teaching Method properly。 77263

摘要当今社会，英语作为我国对外开放和与各国交往的重要工具，其地位也越来越深入人心。而随着我国2001年英语课程在全国城乡小学中的普及，英语的地位更加举足轻重。怎样指导学生进行科学合理的小学英语学习，这就需要我们研究和学习小学英语教学法，并根据学生的特点和教学内容采取合适的教学方法,如此我们更容易激发学生的学习兴趣，取得良好的课堂教学效果。情境教学法就是其中一种具有代表性的教学方法，在小学英语教学中起着至关重要的作用。本文就情境教学法的起源与发展进行了详细的阐述，并在此基础上论述了情境教学法的定义与理论依据，使我们更进一步认识情境教学法。情境教学法在小学英语教学中的应用不仅具有积极的影响，还存在着消极的一面，本文在分析其利弊的基础上，为如何正确的使用情境教学法提供了解决方法。
