Fuzzy Beauty of Translation of Tang Poetry Based on Equivalence Theory
I。Introduction
Poetry is the most gorgeous but concise literature form expressed by language。 Chinese Tang Poetry undoubtedly is the most beautiful and greatest literary forms of the Chinese traditional literature attributing to its condensed context, profound contents, strong passion and parallel rhythm。 Each of the Tang poetry is a piece of art always giving readers aesthetic enjoyments of beauty。 And the Equivalence Theory also has a far long history and got complete development。 The present thesis aims in appreciating the fuzzy beauty in Tang poetry based on the Equivalence Theory。 However, Tang poetry really has numerous works, therefore the author chooses to appreciate the beauty with the selected and classical Tang poems。 The body of this thesis consists of four parts。 In the first part, the author introduced Equivalence Theory。 The second part is about some relevant theories and studies on Fuzzy Aesthetics。 The third part is a brief introduction and why Tang poems have fuzzy beauty。 In the fourth part the author tried to appreciating fuzzy beauty in Tang poems from several aspects with selected poems。来`自+优-尔^论:文,网www.youerw.com +QQ752018766-
The Equivalence Theory require the receptors of a translation should comprehend the translated text to such an extent that they can understand how the original receptors must have understood the original text of the source text (ST) and target text (TT) words。 The requirements means even more in poetry than other literature forms for Chinese poetry’s concise text and mysterious rich images。 Zadeh, an American expert at automation control, put forward in his book entitled Information and Control in1965, since then, the notion of fuzziness has been drawn great
attention, and gradually been applied into translation。 He points out that fuzziness is one of the basic properties of human language。 Translation involves the transference of meaning between two languages, and naturally has much connections with the fuzziness of language。 The thesis incorporate the Equivalence Theory and the knowledge of Fuzzy Aesthetics into appreciating fuzzy beauty in Tang poetry。 The significance of this thesis mainly is that the thesis will provide readers with an angle to appreciate beauty of Tang poetry。 Meanwhile, the author hope it be beneficial to poetry translation, the communication of home and abroad and hopefully could give some inspiration to modern poets。
