Influence of Paclobutrazol on Freshness Preservation effect
and Physiological Action of cut Carnation
Abstract: Cut carnation cultivar “four seasons” was used as materrals in this experiment to study the effects of paclobutrazol on the vase life and physiological action of cut carnation. The results indicated that the paclobutrazol can effectively increase the cut carnation fresh weight,soluble protein content in the delay of cut carnation petals,keep the cut flower carna -tion chlorophyll content in leaves,and reduce the cut flower carnation petals in the accumu -lation of free proline,ease of cut carnation in vase during water stress,improve the activity of SOD and CAT in cut flower carnation petals physiological function.Cut flowers carnation processing Ⅱ preservation effect best,cut flower carnation vase to 10 days or so to maximize flower diameter,increase a lot compared to the initial flower diameter,flowers fresh weight also have obvious increase,vase life than the control group of cut carnation extended for 15 days or so.
