Application of Principal Component Analysis in Practice
Abstract: Principal component analysis is a very scientific analysis method, it has been involved in many fields of society. In the actual research, multi index problem is often encountered. However, in most cases, between these different indicators often have certain relevance, this will bring problems some of the complexity analysis to us. And the application of the principal component in the commercial economy analysis can be integrated some complex data into several commercial index form, such as the cost of living index, price index, business activity index. As mentioned above, in reality often hoped to use these indicators, then, MATLAB using principal component analysis the dimension reduction based on the data, but also can not make the loss of information in the data.

本文旨在分析自1990年到2013年的城市公用事业基本情况进行分析,来探讨国家对城市发展进步的的成果和中国人民城市生活水平有哪些变化.从多方面公用事业入手,如城市建设方面、城市供水、燃气及集中供热、城市市政设施、城市公共交通、城市绿化和园林、城市环境卫生等.对其应用主成分分析进行系统的分析来得出我国从1990年到2013年城市生活有了哪些提高,人民生活有了哪些好的变化.目的在于研究主成分分析在实际的应用中起到哪些作用.
主成分分析（或称主分量分析,Principal Component Analysis,PCA）是通过一种降文的思想,把多个变量指标化为少数几个新的指标（即主成分）的一种多元数据处理方法.在进行主成分分析时,常使用的分析软件有MATLAB,SAS, SPSS等.而MATLAB主要面对科学计算、可视化以及交互式程序设计的高科技计算环境.它将数值分析、矩阵计算、科学数据可视化以及非线性动态系统的建模和仿真等诸多强大功能集成在一个易于使用的视窗环境中.在数学类科技应用软件中它在数值计算方面首屈一指,因此本文将使用MATLAB数学软件来实现主成分分析.
