Application of Multivariate Statistical Analysis in The
Evaluation of Student Performance
Abstract : Principal component analysis, factor analysis and cluster analysis of multivariate statistical methods are two very valuable, but in the course easily misused and confused. From the mathematical model, the basic idea, standardization and application data aspects, discussed the similarities and differences between the two. And case analysis were carried out by case analysis I believe we will be more clearly understood, distinguish and apply these two methods. While examples objective analysis is to evaluate student achievement for the purpose of comprehensive scientific evaluation by providing for the arrangement of teaching programs a strong basis, but also has great practical significance.

在许多科学研究领域中，经常需要从多个方面对事物发展进行综合分析与评价。大样本可以提供比较准确的信息，但是大样本数据间往往存在相关性，增加了研究的复杂性，因此人们设法用比较少的综合指标来代替原来的指标进行分析研究。统计分析的主成分分析、因子分析是两种常用的降文分析方法。近年来这两种方法在社会、经济问题中的应用越来越多，分析的方法也越来越成熟，但初学者在应用的时候很容易混淆，因此有必要对这两种方法加以区分，针对不同的问题采用不同方法.
