Attention to Brand Building of Documentary from "Tasting China"
Abstract: Since the broadcast, "Tasting China" has been popular in the country, hitting a new record in the documentary ratings, become China’s successful attempt to build documentary brand. Using case analysis and other research methods, this paper clears the importance of documentary’s brand building, such as enhancing competeti-
veness and expanding audience of documentary. Then, further analyses "Tasting Chi-
na" 's strategies of brand building from the perspective, shooting techniques, media choice, etc. Finally, the paper concludes "Tasting China" 's enlightenment on the doc-
umentary’s brand building, innovating creation mode, highlighting the cultural conno-
tation, expanding the transmission route and mining the commercial value, in order to provide a reference to the documentary brand development.
