In the last ten years of the development of Eco-translatology, as its founder, Professor Hu  has  explored  and  perfected  the  theoretical  framework  of  Eco-translatology。  In     his

Eco-translatology: Construction & Interpretation, he thinks that the translation process is the translator’s adaptation and selection in translational environment and the translation principle is “multi-dimensional adaptation and adaptive selection”。 Three-dimensional transformation, namely, linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions ---- are the center of Eco-translatology。 According to Professor Hu, the translator should adopt adaptive transformation from multiple dimensions to achieve a suitable translation。 Thus, this article aims to make out the adaptive selection from linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions through the analysis on subtitle translation of the film A Dog’s Purpose。
