All people who have watched this film may think that they never met anyone like Forrest Gump in this movie before, and never seen a movie like Forrest Gump. Any attempt to describe him will risk making the movie seem more conventional than it is, maybe it’s a comedy, or a drama, a dream.
2.1 The Introduction of Forrest Gump
The successful film Forrest Gump which is made based on the homonymy novel. The author of the novel is Winston Groom. Only the original work is that one is full of fantastic novels with a satiric flavor, but the film modifies and beautifies the story. Have abandoned the absurdity of the original work and revealed that satirizes meaning, have added a kind of tender feeling for the film. In the contention of the best picture of the 67th Oscar Award in 1995, the film Forrest Gump got six Awards , such as the best picture, the best actor , the best achievement in directing, adapting drama, the best achievement in film editing and the best visual effect, etc.
In 1994 the USA Paramount Pictures company produced the movie Forrest Gump is honored as one of the greatest films in twentieth Century by the Times magazine. The film that is also known as the fable of America reality, describes a story about a mentally retarded person made an amazing success on the road of life, which is a typical American personal struggle inspirational movie. The author thinks, this movie is a successful symbolic image work, it is not only a fable of American reality, and more is the fable of social life. Through the symbolic events and classic lines, the film completes the pondering and discussion on life and fate.

Forrest Gump who is unfortunately to be born with a lower IQ and the muscle problem, usually, people always think this kind of person can’t be successful in doing anything. But, Gump has his own perseverance and keeps on running without any reason, JUST RUN. Instead, this unlucky man has achieved lots of incredible success, he is a football star, a war hero, and later a millionaire! Forrest Gump in movies is shaping as the incarnation of virtue, honesty and trustworthiness, conscientiously, a brave paying feeling, who knows only pay for not repay, also never mind other people refuse. He is open-minded, intimates facing life.
Family love, friendship and love is always the eternal topic in human history. The film just tells the things happened in Forrest Gump on the family love, friendship and love story around the background of the folly culture. He is handicap and has a low IQ, so people living in the town all are in the eyes of the strange look at Forrest Gump except Jenny who take care of him and love him by his side and who has warmed his heart by her pure girl feelings. Although Forrest Gump’s IQ is low, but he is so simple and with firm faith that he accomplished many things which normal people have never thought to do, and at last, he made remarkable achievement in sports, battlefield and market. Mr. Gump has his own perseverance and keeps on running without any reason, JUST RUN. He said: “Man has to look forward, and never encumbers by foretime. Maybe that is the meaning of running.” Say goodbye to foretime and don’t stay in-place. Although so many people in the world are used to following others and few people can stick to one thing, Mr. Gump does and becomes “GOD”. There is another character Lieutenant Dan. Dan lost his legs in Vietnam War. He said that his fate was death in war. However, Mr. Gump saved him and let him be alive. After losing legs, Dan was decadent and disgusted with life, complaining that Gump shouldn’t save him. When he adjusted his mind, living on fishing with Gump, he started to enjoy the wonderful life and thank Gump’s help.
