On  the  basis  of  the  relationship  between  the  change  of  cultivated  land  and

economic developmente at various stages from 1978 to 2009 in  Jiangsu Province。Make recommendations on how to deal with the relationship between reduction of cultivated land and economic development including: 1) Improve the efficiency of land use; 2) Improve policies, to break down barriers; 3) Reasonable supply of land, sub-regional treatment; 4) The adjustment of  economic  growth, change the traditional growth drivers; 5) Support the core technology industry, innovation leading economic。 This has a certain significance for the  study  of economic development and the change of cultivated land elated issues in the future。
