As to Cee, “bridling with embarrassment, lay propped on pillows at the edge of Ethel’s tiny back porch soon as the sun’s violent rays angled in that direction。”(Morrison 124)This detailed description of the therapy process to Cee shows that the doctor had tormented Cee’s body and the black women were living a very terrible life。 In spite of feeling angry and humiliated, they couldn’t speak out, let alone claim justice for themselves。 

There are so many detail descriptions in the text that I cannot analyze all of them here。 But from all of these above a conclusion can be made that Morrison’s detail description in Home is one of her narrative artistic features due to her meticulous observation in depth。文献综述

3。2 A fragmented narrative structure and the non-linear timeline

In the case of Morrison, historical facts and stories are a major feature of her work。 The important phenomena and events in the history of American society have been well reflected in Morrison’s novels。 To some extent, the integration of Morrison’s novel is a history of the development of the American black people。 

Sometimes with the development of the plot, the readers will find that in Morrison’s novels, historical facts and fictional events can be combined into one。 The fictional people in the novel and the historical figures are strikingly similar。 Actually, her novels are embedded in the history and memory of the debris。 By the integrated time in the narrative, Morrison aims to show that history facts are originally part of the narrative。 Thus it makes the integration of Morrison’s works as grand as an epic
