    1.3 Research questions

    The goal of this research is to explore the status quo of junior middle school student’s English learning motivation. Hence, the research questions are: What is the status quo of Grade Eight junior middle school students’ English learning motivation? What factors influence students most? What is the relationship between English grades and learning motivation? How about their learning condition?

    1.4 Structure of the research 

    This thesis consists of six chapters. In chapter 1, the research background and significance is first presented, followed by the research aim, question and structure of this thesis. In chapter 2 is about the literature review. Chapter 3 is focusing on the research which includes research participants and instruments, the instruments include questionnaire and interview. In chapter 4, there are data analysis and discussion, related data will be analyzed and the results will be used to answer the research questions. In chapter 5, researcher tries to give some tentative suggestions. Chapter 6, in the last chapter of this thesis, it will mainly talk about summary and limitation of the research as well as some suggestions for further research.
