Abstract With the development of technology and globalization, English becomes more and more significant。 The English grammar takes a very important position in the English language learning。 However, the issue of overusing traditional grammar teaching method like Grammar Translation Method in middle school is still very serious。 The purpose of this paper is to improve the middle school students’ comprehensive language competence, especially their cooperative consciousness and self-study abilities, and finally push forward with further development of cooperative learning in English grammar teaching。 In this paper, the author is going to adopt cooperative learning theory as a guidance of English grammar teaching。 Combining the grammar teaching characteristics of English teaching under the New Curriculum, this paper analyzes the existing problems in recent grammar teaching in the middle school English class and clarifies the necessities of cooperative learning。 The author also makes an attempt to carry out an empirical study with the help of some useful instruments。 75859

摘要随着科技的进步和全球化的发展,英语的重要性日趋明显。英语语法在英语语言学习的过程中占据着重要的地位。然而初中英语的语法教学仍然存在过度使用如直译法等传统教学方法的现象。本文旨在提升初中学生的综合语言能力,尤其是合作意识和自主学习能力,从而最终推动合作学习在英语语法教学的广泛运用和深入发展。本文将合作学习法作为英语语法学习的理论基础,结合新课程标准下英语语法教学的特点,分析了初中英语语法教学中现存的问题并阐明了合作学习的必要性。同时作者通过一些有效的教学手段,对小组合作学习法在初中英语语法教学中的运用进行了实验探究。

1。 Introduction
For a long time, grammar teaching has always been a hot topic in foreign language teaching。 Nowadays, however, there is a tendency that teachers’ emphasis of language teaching has shifted from language form teaching to the training of students’ communicative competence like listening and speaking。 So should the teaching of grammar be ignored? As we all know, grammar is the study of rules governing the use of languages。 In other words, it is the rule that changes the form of words and makes up sentences with words。 To most people, grammar is the essence of a language。 “The more we are aware of how it works, the more we can monitor the meaning and effectiveness of the way we and others use language。” (Crystal 68) So it is wrong for some teachers to just foster students’ language skills and communicative ability but neglect the importance of grammar teaching。论文网
