1。2 Importance of Writing Teaching
In English teaching, there are four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing。 Generally, these four skills can be pided into two groups。 Listening and reading are input skills while speaking and writing are output skills。 Writing is one of the important outputs in the process of language learning, and also the most complicated and difficult task in the four skills of language competence for most junior school students。 Liu (1999) pointed out that only the writing competence could reflect language self-cultivation of one person。 Harmer (2000) said that writing teaching is important not only because writing includes reinforcement, language development, and learning style, but also because the most important is writing as a skill in its own right。 Therefore, as an important tool to measure students’ language competence, English writing can reflect the grasping state of vocabulary, grammar and thinking in English。文献综述
