In a word, on the basis of existing document literature, I put forward my own views and opinions, and study from the existing literature which researches on the loss of affective meaning, so as to find the reference and inspiration for my paper。

2。1 A Brief Introduction of  Functional Equivalence Theory

In order to achieve successful conversion between source language and target language, have a standard and reduce differences, Eugene A Nida, in accordance with the nature of translation, from the linguistic perspective, put forward “dynamic equivalence” translation theory, also called the “functional equivalence”。 Nida indicated that the translation is not only  about translation of words’ definition in terms of equivalence but also includes semantics and stylistic equivalence。 Translation both includes surface lexical information and profound cultural information。 This theory includes four aspects: 1。 Words equivalence, 2。 Syntactic equivalence, 3。 Textual equivalence, 4。 Stylistic equivalence。 Among the four aspects, Nida thought that “meaning is the most important, form the second” (Nida 132) Form tends to hide the affective meaning of the source language and impedes cultural exchanges to a large extent。 In literary translation, according to Nida's theory, the translators are supposed to take the four dynamic equivalence as translation principles so as to reproduce the affective meaning of source language。
