摘要俚语是现代英语的重要组成部分。俚语是美国文化活灵活现的演绎，是语言诙谐幽默的体现。随着信息经济的全球化，俚语已经频繁出现在电视电影等大众传媒中。对于观众而言，俚语的翻译好坏有时会直接影响观众的理解以及评价，因此在翻译过程中应选取恰当的翻译策略进行翻译。但是，现在对于动画片中俚语翻译研究还有所欠缺。所以本论文以动画片《辛普森一家》为例入手研究俚语在动画片中的俚语翻译策略，归纳总结动画片中的俚语翻译原则，在翻译过程中结合目标语言的自身特点、动画片剧情以及儿童的认知水平进行翻译，以更好的还原英语俚语的原貌，增进文化间的交流。67136

ABSTRACT:Slang is an important part of modern English, which is regarded as a vivid interpretation of American culture. With the globalization of the information and economy, Slang has frequently appeared in TV progresses, movies and other mass media. For the audience, the quality of slang translation is sometimes directly affect the audience’s understanding as well as evaluating the cartoons. So we select the correct translation strategies of slang in the process of translation.   

However, the slang translation Studies in cartoon still has defectiveness . This paper use the famous cartoon The Simpsons as an example to do the research of translation strategies in cartoons and summarize the basic principles to restore the original appearance of the English slang and promote inter-cultural exchanges.

Title   Translation Strategies of English Slang in Cartoons Taking The Simpsons as an Example

Abstract

Slang is an important part of modern English, which is regarded as a vivid interpretation of American culture. With the globalization of the information and economy, Slang has frequently appeared in TV progresses, movies and other mass media. For the audience, the quality of slang translation sometimes directly affects the audience’s understanding as well as evaluation of the cartoons. Therefore we should select the appropriate translation strategies of slang. However, the studies of slang translation in cartoons still have defectiveness. This paper take the famous cartoon The Simpsons as an example to do the research of translation strategies，combined the literal translations with the characters of target language, the plots of the cartoons and the cognitive levels of children to summarize the basic principles for restoring the original appearance of the English slang and promote inter-cultural exchanges.
